The address is part of the brand
Couples notice small things. A link that reads photos.yourstudio.com/event/ishita-rohan feels like your studio built it. A link with another company’s name in it feels like you rented it, even if the gallery behind it looks the same.
The address also travels further than you think. It gets forwarded from the couple to both families, pasted into the college friends group, printed on a QR card at the reception counter and saved in someone’s browser for the next six months. Every one of those is a small advert for you.
Your logo, studio name and watermark already lead every gallery on every plan. A custom domain finishes the job, so nothing in the link points anywhere except your studio. See branding for the rest of what you can set.
Setting it up takes about ten minutes
You need a domain you already own, such as yourstudio.com or yourstudio.in. If you don’t have one, a .in or .com from GoDaddy, Hostinger or BigRock usually costs under ₹1,000 a year.
We recommend a subdomain like photos.yourstudio.com or gallery.yourstudio.com. Your main website stays exactly where it is, and your galleries get their own address beside it.
In your SpotMe settings you type the subdomain you want, and we show you one record to copy into your domain provider’s DNS page. Most providers apply it within minutes, though some take a few hours. Once we can see the record, we issue the certificate and your galleries start opening on the new address. If you get stuck on your provider’s screen, send us a screenshot on WhatsApp and we’ll tell you which box to fill.
What changes for couples and guests
Nothing about the gallery itself. The couple still gets their master link with every function in its folder, and guests still open their link, verify their number and take one selfie.
What changes is everything they see in the address bar and in the links you share:
- Couple gallery links open on your domain.
- Guest links and QR codes you create from then on use your domain.
- Download links for originals and mobile copies stay signed and private, exactly as before.
Links you shared before you connected the domain keep working, so a couple who bookmarked their gallery last month won’t hit a dead page.
Secure without you thinking about it
Browsers now warn people away from any site without a valid certificate, and an aunt who sees “Not secure” will close the tab and call you. We issue the certificate for your subdomain when you connect it and renew it automatically before it expires.
Your photos are still stored on our servers in Mumbai, in private storage, and every photo link expires after an hour. The domain changes the name on the door, not the lock. Read more on our security page.

Is a custom domain included in my plan?
Yes. Every feature is on every plan, including Free. You only need to own the domain itself.
Will my main studio website be affected?
No. You connect a subdomain such as photos.yourstudio.com, so your main website, email and Instagram link stay exactly as they are.
Do I need to buy or renew an SSL certificate?
No. We issue the certificate when you connect the domain and renew it automatically.
What happens to links I sent before connecting the domain?
They keep working. New links you share use your domain, and older links still open the same gallery.
Can my team’s events use the same domain?
Yes. The domain belongs to your studio account, so every event created by anyone on your team opens on it.
