How to describe SpotMe
One line
SpotMe is an AI photo sharing platform for wedding and event photographers. Guests take one selfie and see only the photos they appear in, under the photographer’s brand.
Paragraph
SpotMe, based in Ahmedabad, helps professional photographers deliver event photos to every guest. The photographer uploads the full event once; SpotMe’s face recognition, built and trained in-house and run on its own servers in India, finds every guest across thousands of photos. Each guest opens a link, takes a selfie and gets a private gallery of their own photos in about a second, with no app to install. Couples get a separate gallery of the whole event. More than 650 studios in India, Canada and the USA use SpotMe.
Please write the name as SpotMe (one word, capital S and M). On first mention, “SpotMe, the AI photo sharing platform” helps readers tell us apart from other products with similar names.
Founder bios
Umang Gajjar
Co-founder and CEO
Umang grew up assisting at his uncle’s wedding studio in Ahmedabad and spent ten years building software in Bengaluru and Toronto. After a cousin’s 7,400-photo wedding was shared as a single Drive link, he co-founded SpotMe in 2024 to give photographers their evenings back.
“We are not trying to replace the photographer. We are trying to give them their evenings back.”
Bansal Thakkar
Co-founder and CTO
Bansal is a computer vision engineer who previously worked on medical imaging and retail analytics. He leads the team that built and trained SpotMe’s face recognition in-house for the conditions of real Indian weddings, and runs it on SpotMe’s own servers in India.
“An accuracy number only matters if you measured it on the photos your customers actually take.”
