What photographers tell us
Most of our studios are in Gujarat, where SpotMe started. Here is what they say after a season with it.
“The sangeet alone was around 3,800 photos and I was dreading the “bhaiya, where are my photos” messages. I dropped one link in the family WhatsApp group. By next morning most guests had downloaded theirs, and two of them asked for our rates.”
Kavya TrivediFrames by Kavya, Vadodara, Gujarat “Three-day wedding at a farmhouse near Sanand, and the network was so bad guests couldn’t even open Instagram. I uploaded from the studio the next evening and sent one link. Even the elderly relatives managed the selfie without calling me, which honestly surprised me.”
Hardik PatelHardik Patel Photography, Ahmedabad, Gujarat “I used to make separate Drive folders for the bride’s side, the groom’s side, college friends, office friends. Now it’s one link. The bride’s mother told me it was the first family wedding where she didn’t have to forward photos to anyone.”
Nirali ShahNirali Shah Studio, Surat, Gujarat “On my old app full-resolution downloads cost extra, so I only uploaded the selected photos. Here I upload the full set, around 6,000 for a normal Rajkot wedding, and I don’t think about it anymore.”
Jignesh BhattBhatt Digital Studio, Rajkot, Gujarat “Navratri garba is chaos for face matching: 2,000 people, coloured lights, everyone in similar chaniya cholis. I tested it on our society’s nine nights, about 11,000 photos. Out of the guests who used it, one person said a photo was missing. That’s it.”
Pooja MehtaPooja Mehta Weddings, Ahmedabad, Gujarat “Couples love having a folder for each function. Haldi, mehendi, sangeet, pheras, reception, all separate. One bride sent me a voice note at 1 am saying she had been scrolling for two hours.”
Krupa PanchalKrupa Panchal Photography, Anand, Gujarat “It took me one event to trust it. I went through the bride’s aunt’s gallery myself, about 140 photos, looking for a wrong match and didn’t find one. I’ve stopped checking.”
Harpreet SandhuSandhu Studios, Brampton, Ontario, Canada “The watermark sold it for me. Every photo a guest downloads carries my logo. After two weddings in Navsari, three enquiries came from people who saw those photos on someone’s WhatsApp status.”
Mihir DesaiLensworks by Mihir, Navsari, Gujarat “Half the guests at our New Jersey weddings fly in from Ahmedabad or Vadodara. Now they have their photos on the flight home, instead of waiting weeks for us to sort out a Dropbox.”

Questions photographers ask
What is SpotMe?
SpotMe is an AI-powered photo sharing platform for professional photographers. You upload the event once, SpotMe uses face recognition to find every guest, and each guest opens a link to see only the photos they appear in. The couple gets a separate link to the full gallery.
How do guests find their photos?
Guests open the event link in their phone or laptop browser, enter their name and mobile number, verify a one-time code sent on WhatsApp (or SMS), and take a selfie. SpotMe then shows them every photo they appear in.
Do guests or the couple need to download an app?
No. Guests and the couple use SpotMe in any phone, tablet or laptop browser. There is nothing to install, which matters when half the guest list is over 60.
How accurate is the face recognition?
SpotMe’s face recognition is 99.99% accurate, measured on real wedding and event photos rather than lab datasets. It handles side profiles, dim sangeet lighting and heavy bridal jewellery. If a guest ever spots a photo that isn’t theirs, they can retake their selfie.
Does SpotMe reduce my photo quality?
No. SpotMe stores the exact file you upload. Galleries load fast using lightweight previews, and every photo can be downloaded two ways: the full-resolution original, or a mobile-sized copy. If you set a watermark, both downloads carry it, and your stored original is never overwritten.
What does the couple get?
The couple gets a private master link to the whole event: every folder (Haldi, Mehendi, Sangeet, Wedding and so on), favourites synced across devices, and a people view that groups photos by person.
What happens to guest selfies and face data?
Selfies are never stored. They are processed in memory to create a face template, which is used only to match that guest within that event. Face data is never used to train AI models. Our Face Data Notice explains retention and deletion in full.
How much does SpotMe cost?
Free forever up to 10 GB, with every feature. Paid plans are yearly: 500 GB for ₹17,000 a year or 1 TB for ₹22,000 a year at introductory prices. There are no per-photo credits or guest fees, and deleting an event gives its storage back.
Who is SpotMe for?
